Grounded in a realistic teen world with fascinating sci-fi elements, After Eden is a heart-pounding love triangle that’s perfect for dystopian fans looking for something new to devour.

BorderThe book for one has TIME TRAVEL! I mean hello! time travel is always awesome. I am huge Scifi nerd and this book just screams at me. With the whole Time Travel and saving the world and finding a new planet to live on. just sounds likes it will be a epic adventure, that i am just dying to read. I’m just really excited to see how the lives of the three will turn out. I really hope it’s not a cheesy love triangle but realistic and not all about it. All and all i can’t wait to read this book. I have it on my TBR list for a while now. The book just seems really different then the books i been readying lately. I don;t have long to wait! it comes out really soon. Are you guys excited to read it?

I really have high hopes, so don’t fail me!

Here is the UK cover for the followers over there.

In my honest opinion the UK cover is the best cover! so eye catching.

Not a review but thoughts: Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Thoughts: I wouldn’t say this was a spoiler but for the people who haven’t read Allegiant…be careful. I didn’t have the heart to write a review. Maybe this counts as review but i don’t know. Allegiant is so different compared to the first book Divergent. I been a huge fan of the series for so long. I look up to veronica Roth as a writer. I just want to put out there that i will always love the series and have it close to my heart. After reading Allegiant i have been going threw so much pain and madness. I really still don’t understand if what i read is what i read. Of all the ways i thought the series would end, I never seen this one coming..I am in straight fan-girl madness: tears, depression, Asking what is life?, if people had souls?

Yes it was bittersweet but oh so very painful. I think the reason i can’t fully write a review is because i don’t think i could rate it and review it without going in “breakdown” mode.  I think maybe i will wait until i have more of a clear head or i may never write a review.. I’m not saying i hate it. oh no, no, no. The book might of had so much pain. We got all the answers we needed and more. I just feel like ending the way it did was not necessary. I read divergent and insurgent, I have grown to love the characters like they are real. And i guess it makes me upset not that i hate it. Like i said i will always love the series. I understand what Veronica was doing and i totally get it, but it still does not help the way i feel about it…I just was not prepared for the outcome.

Veronica said in the book ” I will say it one last time: Be brave ” but it’s really hard to be brave after all the tears i flooded in. I have said this already but i will say it again: Allegiant makes Mockingjay look Happy Jolly. I really think i might ruined my copy because of my tears. Overall i love Veronica but she is EVIL! VERY FREAKING EVIL!

Have you finished the book?

add-to-goodreads-button3Summery:In the future dystopian society of Cabal, the government instills equality for all and offers its citizens the perfect system. There is food, shelter and jobs for everyone. The one requirement is to follow the rules without question, including the government’s match in marriage and “The Day of the Chosen”, a lottery that randomly selects families to conceive children as natural means hasn’t existed in generations. Following her eighteenth birthday, Olivia Parker accepts her requirement to marry her childhood best friend, Joshua Warren, and is eager to start her work assignment and new life when it all comes abruptly to an end as she’s arrested and thrown in prison. The only crime committed, her existence. Olivia is unlike the rest of the world born not from “The Day of the Chosen.” The truth haunts the government and puts her life in grave danger as one simple fact would destroy the perfect system.

With Joshua’s help, Olivia breaks free of prison and is forced on the run. Together they set out to find the promised rebel town in search of a new home and new life together. Their situation seems less than promising as they reach the town of Haven. New rules and customs must be adhered to in order to stay. Leaving would mean most certain death in the large expanse of the Gravelands. Time is running out as the government mounts an attack to destroy Olivia and bury her secret with her. Thrown into a world unlike their own, they must quickly adapt to survive.

*I have received this copy threw NeGalley for a honest review.

Reading the summery i could already tell it was gonna be similar to other Dystopian books like Matched, With the whole pairing couples to be with and merry. I did like the whole concept of people being test tube babies, cause women can’t get pregnant.. Once married you have to win the lottery to be given children. and that’s the reason why everyone wanted Olivia, her mother give birth to her naturally and Olivia is suspected to do the same. Some want her dead to keep the secret down and control people and others want her to bear children against her will.

They set off outside the wall from the government to join the rebels. They find out that they are keep secrets after discover what they want her she leaves the rebel city. Following the map to a secret city not on any other map and the a gang of fighting solders of the rebels. Under different names they have no choice but to join the fight.

The book does a LOT of similarity to books like Matched and Hunger games. a little bit of divergent. I didn’t really mind tho, i knew it was gonna be like that before i started reading it. I did get a little annoyed of Olivia and josh relationship. it didn’t start making since to me. More towards the end you get to really start to understand there relationship a little bit. They already had a bound from being best friends since children. But i do wish i could have gotten to see there relationship grow more instead of insta love kinda thing. Dating a best friend can be awkward.

The book did have very little flaws. The book doesn’t get really good until the end and you just really want more. I was disappointing in the fact the book was short. I was enjoying the suspense to much. I can’t say the book was my favorite but i did like where the plot was heading toward so my overall rating 3.5.  I honest recommend readers that like Matched and Hunger games, to read it. People will love the characters and the adventure. I will be reading the next book for sure.

YA Book Review: Confessions of A Murder Suspect By James Patterson

Title: Confessions of A Murder Suspect (Confessions #1)
Author: James Patterson, Maxine Paetro
Published: September 10th 2013 by Little, Brown and Company
Type: Murder Mystery, Thriller, Science Fiction
Paperback, 400 pages

add-to-goodreads-button3Summery: On the night Malcolm and Maud Angel are murdered, their daughter Tandy knows just three things: 1) She was one of the last people to see her parents alive. 2) The suspect list only includes Tandy and her three siblings. 3) She can’t trust anyone–maybe not even herself.

As Tandy sets out to clear the family name, she begins to recall flashes of experiences long buried in her vulnerable psyche. These memories shed light on her family’s dark secrets, and digging deeper into her powerful parents’ affairs proves to be a disturbing and dangerous game. Who knows what any of the Angels are truly capable of?

I really enjoyed James Patterson books so far. I really his Fantasy and science fiction books. Lately i been wanting to open up more on mystery novels. I used to just stay away from it, cause i’m not much a fan of them. But i did want to read this one for sometime now. The book just stood out to me. I was a little suppressed how much i did end up enjoying the book.

Confessions of a murder suspect starts off right away with a bang. Tandy wake up to sirens and cops at her door she finds out her parents are dead. Tandy suspects her own angel family. Trusting her own family becomes harder and harder more the story goes. Tandy and her brothers get blamed for the killing of there parents. She tries to discover the real killer and along the way she discovers more secrets of the past then she bargain for. Tandy slowly learns that her parents might be the reason why her and her brothers are not normal.

The story hints to forgotten love, a love that was taken from her. Not only do Tandy have to find the killer she also gets flashes of the past that she has forgotten and you are thrown into that mystery along with Tandy. I liked how the character talks to the reader along with the book. you know she is talking to you when she says “friend”. it was a nice touch. You got to really know the character, and you could somewhat relate to her. She has always been somewhat emotionless but you see how much she really does care and how it wasn’t her fault she didn’t have emotions.

The story is packed with Twist & Turns. The suspense will seriously have you biting you nails. The ending wasn’t what i predicted, it will shock you and start questioning “When?, what?, why?” the ending throws you into more mystery’s you wont find out until you read the next book.

Overall Loved the plot, the characters, the writing, everything. I highly recommend this book to all the mystery craving fans out in the world. After reading this book i just feel like i really should start reading more mystery’s, that not all will disappoint me. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Title: Snakeroot (Nightshade Legacy #1)

Goodreads: Fans asked for it, and now they’ve got it! Andrea Cremer is continuing the story she began in in her internationally bestselling trilogy: Nightshade, Wolfsbane and Bloodrose. In this new installment, Bosque Mar haunts the dreams of both Adne and Logan, trying to escape for the Nether, where Calla, Shay and the other Guardians trapped him in the final battle in the War of All Against All. Will he turn Adne to the dark side? Will Logan reclaim his birthright? And will darkness take over our world? In a novel filled with magic, romance and breakneck action, master storytelling Andrea Cremer’s newest installment will not disappoint!

BorderThe cover looks more creepy compared to the other covers in the saga. and i love the fast it’s more edy and plan. The cover is a simply awesome. I will be honest i don’t really remember the characters that well. There never stood out to me in the series but i really love the nightshade saga so i have to give this book a shot, and i’m really looking forward to read it. Tho i do have to mention this book without Ren is gonna be real depressing. I don’t know about you but i was completely heartbroken over Ren.(Spoiler Alert) I’m not over his death at all and probably never be. That being said i am still excited to read this. Who else is looking forward to this book? Just the title itself “Snakeroot” Sounds creepy. I am really interested to see how the book will take off after the ending of the last book. my gut is telling me it’s gonna be emotional and epic.

add-to-goodreads-button3Summery:All Hannah needs is a nice and quiet vacation after her first year of teaching French at a high school. She joins her brother Ben for the summer in their mom’s log cabin in Arizona. There, she meets Josh again, Ben’s childhood friend from the Navajo reservation. The little boy from the rez has grown up fast, and Hannah can’t help but feeling more for him than just friendship.

But fate apparently has something else in store for her. And it’s not peace and quiet. Night after night, Hannah is plagued by strange nightmares about the past of Navajo Nation and terrifying shadows chasing her. They seem to come closer – and why is Josh always present in her dreams?

Sometimes, the past has a way of catching up with you.

*This review may contain Spoilers. You have been warned.

I was really excited to read this book. The summery and the cover was to die for. but when i open the book i was disappointed. The beginning just seemed awkward and you go threw so much Yada Yada before stuff gets good, And when things start to good it goes away in a flash. I really liked what the “real” plot was aiming on with creatures hunting her and her get flashes of the past. Instead most of the book was about Hannah obsessing over Josh and there on and back again fling..Love drama.

you have Hannah who is like 24 who teaches high school students for a living. She comes back for home for the summer to visit her brother Ben. She instantly gets attracted to her brothers childhood friend, Josh who is 17. Josh has this “stand back” kinda of attitude were he pushes people away and has secrets. The whole relationship was just awkward to me cause of her being 24 and a teacher. I know a lot of people probably don’t care and ” love just being a number ” but i just couldn’t take the whole story-line seriously because of that fact. I have family who are together and there is a huge age gap between them. It’s just she is a “Teacher” teaching that age group. Just awkward. I didn’t like Hannah she was annoying and always acts like everything was about her when really she was the reason Josh was stand offish towards her.

Now that’s really all i had a problem with. I feel like if the author just focused more on the paranormal plot of the story it would’ve been more enjoyable book to read. I’m sure the author has really good books and good ideas but for me this story was just not for me. I feel bad cause i really wanted to love this story. I loved Josh’s character. He regenerates after he dies and has to go threw life again to stop evil. It would’ve been awesome if the book was in his P.O.V instead of Hanna’s. Just wanted to point that out. I loved the authors writing and her concept. The cover is really beautiful. Overall and the fact it took me days to get threw this book, i have to give it a 2.5.  Just because i didn’t like it does not mean others won’t. I do recommend people to give this book a shot and judge it for yourself. This book is category as YA but is my opinion its leaning on New Adult.

YA Book Review: The Immortal Rules By Julie Kagawa

Title: The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1)
Author: Julie Kagawa

Summery:To survive in a ruined world, she must embrace the darkness…

Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them—the vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself dies and becomes one of the monsters.

And soon Allie will have to decide what and who is worth dying for…again.

Enter Julie Kagawa’s dark and twisted world as an unforgettable journey begins.

(warning this review may or may not count as a spoiler)

Put Vampires in a Dystopian world and add the amazing Author Julie Kagawa and you my fine readers have a awesome recipe for an epic story. I have been a huge fan of Julie for a little while now. I first fell in love with her with The Iron Fey series. That series is just really amazing. Julie takes a whole different turn in the Immortal Rules series. Those books are completely different but amazing in there own right. I just love to be able to step in another world of Julie Kagawa. The funny thing is that i didn’t even mean to by The Immortal Rules, it was a oopsie buy that i don’t even remember. I been wanting to read this book for a while now but never got around to it, so i like to think of it as fate.

I really loved the whole concept of the story, of a Dystopian world run by vampires. I love Dystopians and vampires and to have them combined is a instant win in my book. If you read The Iron Fey series, it was more of a light story of love. But The Immortal Rules was so much more then that. The Book just has this dark feel to it. Allison’s lives in slums of a walled up vampire city with the unregisterers, worrying about food and vampires. Things to a dark turn for Allison and she turns in to the one thing she hated the most..a Vampire. She has to survive outside of the walls with the Rapids, nasty monsters that prey flash.  Years ago a virus swept the world and killed most the humans and turning vampires into rapids.

Allison’s comes across a group and helps them to this place called Eden. Allison’s has to learn to blend in. The story if full of adventure, and shocking twist and turns. You will shed a tear or thousands when reading the book. It is a love story in a dark world. The story is intense, that will have you griping the pages. I feel like everyone will love Allison’s kick ass personally.

I am happy to say i was not disappointed! The series was a hell of a ride but an awesome one. The book ends with a cliff hanger! Can’t wait to seek my teeth in the 2nd book. Julie Kagawa knows what the readers want and she knows how to deliver it. I happy i get to step in another world of Julie Kagawa and can’t wait to step in more awesome story’s by this awesome human. I 100% recommend this book if you haven’t already read it.

From Lauren Kate comes an epic saga of heart-stopping romance, devastating secrets, and dark magic . . . a world where everything you love can be washed away.

I am one of the rare ones that actually finished the Fallen series and enjoyed it. Yeah the 3rd book was a bore-fest but the overall Series was awesome. I am really excited to jump in another world of Lauren Kate. This story seems right down my alley and i am really excited to read it. It’s Dark and looks to be full of suspense and tears. It comes out this month so i am happy i wont be waiting much longer! The cover is freaking beautiful. I love how the dress is water and the background looks like some kind of wonderland woods. Who else excited to read Teardrop?

YA Book Review: Schools Out-Forever By James Patterson

Title: School’s out-Forever ( Maximum Ride #2 )
Author: James Patterson
Published: April 2007 by Warner Vision
Type: Science Fiction, Adventure
Source: Bookmooch

add-to-goodreads-button3Summery:The heart-stopping quest of six winged kids–led by fourteen-year-old Max–to find their parents and investigate the mind-blowing mystery of their ultimate destiny continues when they’re taken under the wing of an FBI agent and attempt, for the first time, to live “normal” lives. But going to school and making friends doesn’t stop them from being relentlessly hunted by sinister spies, who lead Max to face her most frightening match yet: a new and better version of herself.

rbI really love Maximum Ride. Yes i was late on the action but i am here and i will not leave. After discovering James Patterson i have read a couple of other James Patterson books and i plan on reading more soon, but Maximum Ride has to my FAVORITE of his books.

The Books starts with max and her Flock: Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman and Angel.  They fly of to D.C to look for there parents. They are consent in trouble from the Erasers. Max Has no easy life being on the run always trying to save her Flock and having a Mysterious voice in her head that tells her what to do. It’s not easy for max and saving the world problem also does not help.

Max is very funny and sassy. I always look forward to reading her funny comebacks. She just has this really cool personalty. She is blind to what love is and it was funny when Max has to discover love and trying to act normal for only a little while. You know her and Fang has this connection if you read the first book you know what i’m talking about. You get a glimpse of it again in this book but Max really doesn’t understand much about love. She is fourteen and always has to worry about her Flock and pretty much her family.

The humor in this book between Max and Iggy and the awesome Gazzy is amazing. I laughed a lot reading this book. But there is a lot of moments specially with Iggy that will make you just cry inside and out, this might count as a spoiler please forgive me if it does. It’s just it was freaking sad! There is other heart breaking moments that had me pulling out my hair.

Yes it has it’s cool adventures and more awesome moments but i was a little disappointing in the fact that the book just seemed a little rushed on the important scenes and long on the not as important scenes. I also really wanted more Max and Fang. But i still highly enjoyed the book and loved it. I just want to keep going on and on about the book but then we will be here all day. Overall i recommend it!

Have you read Maximum ride yet?
